The Danish classics comet Kasper Asgreen that only ten days ago finished second in the Tour of Flanders, will start in this year's edition of the Mercedes-Benz GP Herning. The Danish profile pleased to come and run the race, which he compares with the big Belgian classics.

"I just think it's a super cool bike race to run, it's fucking fun, so I want to run again. It is a Danish spring classic that position battle and it goes right and left on the small roads. Kasper Asgreen really got off his big breakthrough with second place in the great classic Tour of Flanders. Although in the Belgian classic is cobblestone and not gravel roads, the riders contend with, so reminiscent races anyway on each other, says Kasper Asgreen.
"Cycling is the race in and with it are very similar in structure. It is much the same to adhere to promote the important times. It does not matter to invest some effort early in getting torn area, for it is rare to get back. So I continue just a tactic from the spring classics, "says Kasper Asgreen.
Especially in the tough spring classics Kasper Asgreen part of the strong team Deceuninck-Quick Step, who repeatedly ran away with the victory in the tough race. For Keld-Berg GP Herning will he be alone, but the strong koldingenser is ready to take the tough position battle completely even. He comes also with a lot of respect for the Danish team.
"The Danish teams and riders running strong. You could see last year with both me and Mads Pedersen, who has been running for some years on the World Tour, it was not because we could just run away as it suited us. It's damn hard enough, so I'll also just have the luck on my side, "says Kasper Asgreen who do not expect to get extra respect in the field despite his status as a professional.
It will be the fifth time that Kasper Asgreen running Schmitz GP Herning, where his best position so far last year's sixth place. Deceuninck Quickstep rider has not concealed the fact that he will be starting to win.
